Garden Themed Styled Shoot

As many of y’all know, this past Wednesday I hosted a free styled shoot for photographers at Busch Wildlife. The idea behind the shoot was really simple: host an event where local photographers can come, meet each other, hang out, and get a whole new set of portfolio images to share. And believe it or not… the execution was simple too. (well, as simple as planning a styled shoot can be) I’ve gotten a lot of questions about how I planned it + what it was like, so I figured a blog post showing off the images and explaining the process was necessary.

First things first: the planning. I planned the shoot itself like I’ve planned any other styled shoot in the past. I started by picking a date + theme, and then started contacting vendors I know + trust asking if they would be interested in contributing. After I had enough confidence that this was going to happen and be really good, (because let’s be honest… that’s a hurdle we all have to jump when planning something new) I started letting people know about the shoot! I texted friends, created an event page on FB, posted on insta, and let my Wentzville TT’ers know. The goal was to have 5 other photographers attend the shoot (really dreaming’ big) and 12 ended up coming out, so I was obviously stoked! :)

Secondly: the pretty stuff. This blog post would not be complete if I didn’t show off the amazing vendor’s work from the shoot! I quite literally could not have hosted this without them and am so thankful for each and every one of them.
